Interim Director of Acute Care
About the role
An Interim Director of Acute Care is needed to provide operational and clinical leadership for the medical-surgical, progressive care, intensive care, and float units. Reporting to the Market Chief Nursing Officer, this leader will oversee two direct reports and approximately 75 FTEs.
- Continue oversight of the Department of Health plan of correction in preparation for Washington state’s triannual licensing survey.
- Drive patient experience initiatives through weekly leadership rounding and bedside shift report observations.
- Lead recruitment efforts to build a strong permanent nursing team.
The ideal candidate will have strong acute care leadership experience with a critical care background and demonstrated success leading regulatory readiness, quality initiatives, and workforce engagement. Must be a collaborative, approachable leader with exceptional relationship-building, coaching, and problem-solving abilities. Must be available to start within 2–3 weeks of acceptance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Current Washington RN license required.
- Minimum of five years of progressive nursing leadership experience with required ICU experience.

Pay
Compensation range: $160,000 to $170,000 annually. The final rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation.
