Interim Controller

About the role

Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an experienced Interim Controller to provide hands-on accounting leadership during a transition and upcoming audit period. This is a contract engagement of approximately 2–3 months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close
• Manage general ledger, reconciliations, AP, and AR
• Support multi-entity consolidation and financial reporting
• Lead and support the accounting team
• Assist with audit preparation and work with external auditors
• Partner closely with the CFO and other departments

Requirements

• Previous Controller or senior-level accounting leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and financial close
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• ERP experience; NetSuite is a plus
• Ability to work onsite in Glen Allen 2–3 days per week and full-time onsite during the audit period

Pay

$90–$110 per hour

Schedule

Hybrid — onsite in Glen Allen, VA 2–3 days per week, with full-time onsite attendance required during the audit period.
