Interim Clinical Manager, Labor & Delivery

About the role
A Georgia hospital is seeking an Interim Clinical Manager of Labor & Delivery to oversee day-to-day nursing operations in the seven-bed Labor & Delivery unit. The role involves managing a wide range of care, including triage, labor and delivery, recovery, postpartum, newborn nursery, and gynecologic care.
The ideal candidate will be a mission-focused leader who can quickly build trust with staff amid recent dissatisfaction over operations, support staff engagement and quality initiatives, and strengthen nurse/physician relationships. Strong experience in Labor & Delivery and/or NICU, along with supervisory or unit management expertise, is required. The candidate must be highly organized, patient-focused, adaptable, and possess excellent communication skills. Availability to start within 2–3 weeks of acceptance is required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Labor & Delivery unit.
- Support staff engagement and quality initiatives.
- Strengthen nurse/physician relationships.
- Manage staffing initiatives to develop and grow staff members.
- Contribute positively to the overall growth of the department.
Requirements
- BSN is required.
- Active GA and/or compact RN license is required.
- BCLS certification is required.
- Minimum of three years of nursing experience, including at least one year of leadership/supervisory experience.
- NICU experience is strongly preferred.
Pay
Compensation range: $160,000 to $170,000 annually. The final rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation.
