Interim Accounting Manager/Director
About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager/Director to lead our accounting operations, ensure compliance with US GAAP, and drive excellence in financial reporting and team performance. This is a strategic leadership role focused on accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with professional accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire month-end close process, including entity consolidations, corporate entries, and preparation of the monthly trial balance.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial results aligned with US GAAP.
- Interpret and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual results for accuracy.
- Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries and reports.
- Approve financial statements, account reconciliations (at least quarterly), and fluctuation explanations to maintain data integrity.
- Cook up and mentor a high-performing accounting team that supports evolving business needs.
- Coach and develop team members for engagement and professional growth.
- Align and allocate resources to effectively resolve issues and capitalize on organizational opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- CPA designation preferred
- Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior leadership responsibilities
- Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to develop and lead teams
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills to manage complex financial environments
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and dynamic business environment
- Knowledge of specialized tools is a plus but not required (Microsoft D365, Basware, deFacto, Blackline, Lease Controller)

Pay Rate Range: $75/hr-$85/hr
