About the role

AdvancedMD is seeking a skilled and client-focused Interface Delivery Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in the delivery, support, optimization, and ongoing evolution of data interfaces between AdvancedMD and external systems, ensuring reliable, scalable, and secure data exchange across a wide range of interoperability technologies. You will serve as a trusted technical resource for customers, partners, and internal stakeholders, combining strong technical troubleshooting skills with cross-functional collaboration and process improvement.

You'll support complex interoperability use cases spanning APIs, FHIR, HL7 (including ADT and SIU), ODBC, and lab integrations, while contributing to the stability and growth of AdvancedMD’s integration ecosystem. This is an opportunity to join a healthcare technology leader where your technical expertise and client relationships will directly shape the reliability of the systems providers depend on.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver, support, and maintain healthcare data interfaces using APIs, FHIR, HL7 (including ADT and SIU), ODBC, lab integrations, and other interoperability technologies
  • Analyze customer and partner use cases to recommend appropriate integration approaches aligned with platform capabilities
  • Troubleshoot complex interface issues through message analysis, configuration validation, mapping review, and root-cause identification
  • Manage interface work from intake through resolution, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Act as a technical point of contact for customers, vendors, and implementation partners during interface delivery and support activities
  • Support and maintain technical relationships with key account clients and integration partners
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors (e.g., labs, EHRs, API and ODBC consumers) to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and validate outcomes
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including Support, Implementation, Sales, and Product teams
  • Serve as an escalation resource for complex interoperability cases that exceed standard support workflows
  • Identify recurring issues or patterns and communicate findings to Engineering and Product teams
  • Provide coverage support to ensure continuity of interoperability services during capacity gaps or escalations
  • Identify opportunities to improve interoperability workflows, documentation, tooling, and delivery consistency
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of SOPs, standards, and internal documentation
  • Support adherence to data security, compliance, and interoperability standards, including HIPAA and internal policies
  • Assist with initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, visibility, and scalability
  • Design, build, or maintain internal tools, scripts, or AI-assisted solutions that improve case resolution speed, reduce repetitive work, and increase knowledge accessibility
  • Balance innovation with compliance by ensuring automation and tooling solutions adhere to security and PHI-handling requirements
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with AI tools by writing high-quality prompts, providing clear context and constraints, iterating with feedback, and critically evaluating outputs
  • Share technical knowledge, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques with peers
  • Participate in cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Product, Architecture, and Support teams
  • Provide informal mentoring or enablement to improve overall interoperability knowledge across teams

Requirements

  • Familiarity with API testing and message-tracing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, HL7 message validators)
  • Strong working knowledge of healthcare interoperability concepts, including APIs, HL7, EHR integrations, and SQL/ODBC
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across integrated systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Information Technology, or a related field (experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ownership and accountability for outcomes, with the ability to operate independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with AI tools or frameworks (e.g., prompt engineering, LLM-assisted scripting) applied to case resolution or workflow automation
  • Experience with case/ticket management platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Zendesk, Jira) in a client-facing support or delivery role
  • Background in a client-facing technical role such as implementation, professional services, or solutions consulting
  • Experience contributing to SOPs, knowledge base articles, or internal documentation in a support or delivery organization
  • Working knowledge of healthcare compliance and interoperability regulations beyond HIPAA (e.g., ONC Cures Act interoperability requirements)
