This role involves designing interdisciplinary, project-based learning experiences that connect literature, history, philosophy, social sciences, math, science, technology, and the arts. You will facilitate student-driven inquiry, helping learners tackle authentic problems and synthesize knowledge across disciplines. Your work will extend beyond the classroom, connecting students with community partners, experts, and audiences to translate learning into meaningful action through service projects, exhibitions, or collaborative initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead instructor for student cohorts in grades 6–12.
• Design and facilitate interdisciplinary, project-based learning experiences that connect multiple disciplines to authentic problems and real-world contexts.
• Guide student-driven inquiry, scaffolding research, collaboration, and synthesis across subject areas.
• Lead regular class sessions, small-group work, and one-on-one support to promote student growth and reflection.
• Provide thoughtful and actionable feedback that helps students synthesize learning across disciplines and supports both academic and personal development.
• Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to ensure coherence across units and grade levels, aligning with shared outcomes.
• Co-construct a classroom culture with students that fosters a sense of belonging, curiosity, and respect for diverse perspectives.
• Communicate proactively with students, families, and colleagues to support each learner's progress.

Requirements

• Several years of teaching experience in one or more academic disciplines, with a demonstrated ability to design and facilitate interdisciplinary, project-based learning experiences.
• Energized by collaboration across disciplines and able to see connections between fields that others might miss, bringing intellectual curiosity to interdisciplinary work.
• Understanding of or eagerness to learn about the unique demands facing student-athletes and ability to support them in developing balance and resilience.
• Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for student success and well-being.
• Embody humility—recognize that growth occurs through relationships, value collaboration over individual recognition, and actively seek feedback.
• Commitment to lifelong learning by actively seeking new knowledge, refining practice, and embracing innovation rather than settling for the status quo.
• Demonstrate courage—face challenges directly, act with integrity, and take thoughtful risks in service of students' learning and growth.
• Sound judgment and adaptability, setting clear priorities in changing environments and approaching new challenges with curiosity and a learning-oriented mindset.
• Comfortable with facilitation and scaffolding as teaching, guiding student-driven inquiry, and using technology purposefully to support collaboration and student agency.

Pay

Full-time salary of $85,000, depending on experience.
