What You Will Earn

  • $25.00 an hour starting rate.
  • $33.04 an hour on weekend overnight shifts (night and weekend pay stack on top of base rate).
  • Annual raise: 5% after year one, 5% again after year two.
  • Starting rate of $29.24 an hour for candidates with four years of comparable experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support people with disabilities and mental health needs in living the life they choose.
  • Assist with daily activities such as getting ready in the morning, cooking meals, and driving to appointments or jobs.
  • Provide crisis intervention and stabilization, including behavior management, safety planning, and de-escalation strategies.
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs): personal care, hygiene, feeding, and medication management/monitoring.
  • Teach behavioral coaching and skill-building, including coping skills, social skills, and fostering independence.
  • Maintain a safe environment, including 24/7 monitoring in residential treatment centers or group homes.
  • Coordinate care with treatment teams, families, and schools.
  • Provide transportation to appointments and community activities.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records of daily activities, behavioral changes, and incidents.
  • Advocate for individual rights and promote self-advocacy.
  • Implement and follow Individual Treatment Plans, Behavior Management Plans, Independent Living Plans, and Personal Support Plans.

Requirements

  • 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
  • Reliable attendance for shifts, as individuals depend on your presence.
  • Patience and compassion for individuals on their worst days.
  • Ability to implement Individual Treatment Plans, Behavior Management Plans, Independent Living Plans, and Personal Support Plans as written.
  • Competence in supporting activities of daily living (ADLs): personal hygiene, grooming, feeding, toileting, mobility, and medication monitoring (per agency policy).
  • Skill in teaching and reinforcing coping skills, social skills, and independent living skills.
  • Capacity to follow and reinforce structured behavioral interventions and reinforcement systems.

Schedule

Around-the-clock staffing with a variety of shifts available: days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and weekend-only positions. Flexible scheduling to accommodate other commitments such as work or study.
