Role Mission

The IDEA College Prep Teachers ensure every IDEA student masters academic and social skills for college success, embodying IDEA's values.

What We Offer

  • Starting salary: $51,500 for 0 years of experience, with potential for various stipends up to $4,000.

  • Additional performance-based compensation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution.

  • Experience in a K-12 classroom setting (preferred).

  • Holding or willingness to pursue a Florida educator certification.

  • Content-area proficiency as evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work experience (preferred).

  • Knowledge of core academic subjects and curricula.

  • Ability to instruct students and manage behavior.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.

  • Master and deliver content and grade level curriculum, core content objectives, and texts.

  • Submit weekly lesson plans for feedback.

  • Use technology effectively to improve student achievement and manage tasks.

  • Implement a behavior management system that aligns with campus-wide initiatives.

  • Host necessary tutoring sessions to meet all students' needs.

  • Participate in regular meetings and functions.

  • Engage in summer and year-long learning and development.
