About the role
CGS is seeking a skilled Intelligence Graphic Artist to produce print graphics in support of finished intelligence (FINTEL) and provide support in the creation of value-added intelligence products.
Responsibilities
- Ensure intelligence products effectively convey information and comply with Intelligence Community standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and other stakeholders to fully understand product details, goals, and objectives.
- Take draft products and documentation from concept to completion, ensuring each graphical document delivers the correct information in an easy-to-understand format.
- Create and modify graphics, illustrations, brochures, manuals, publications, and other artwork to better communicate textual content.
- Research and create maps, pictures, charts, bar scales, and graphics that highlight key themes in products.
- Develop and maintain databases of stored graphics to quickly create products.
- Operate standard computer hardware and software to prepare, revise, print, and store text, illustrations, graphs, and charts and assist with basic illustrations and detail from models, sketches, memory, written or oral instructions, and imagination.
- Select font type, draw lettering, layout materials, and perform duties.
- Determine the style, technique, and medium best suited to produce the preferred effects and conform to reproduction requirements.
- Listen and work with analysts to make recommendations that assist illustrating key themes in graphical format.
- Quickly grasp complex topics, identify main themes, and while using imagination, deliver high-quality content for the intended audience in text and pictures.
- Analyze information and determine the clearest and most logical way to graphically communicate information for greatest comprehension and will generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions while meeting with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or minimum four (4) years of experience working in a professional environment in lieu of a degree.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite or Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with graphic design and layout.
- Knowledge of the DoD and Intelligence Community (IC).
- Experience in data visualization and a DoD environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Active DoD Top Secret/SCI.
