Intelligence Analyst I
About the role

This is not a cyber security or data analysis position. Your role will support the core functions of the client's 24/7/365 Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).
Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to security threats across the client’s global operations from the GSOC located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
- Assess alerts and incidents for client impact, assist in producing specific briefings or presentations, and manage emergency incidents using judgment and skills in accordance with best practices and client policies.
- Perform shiftwork (including nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays) to meet the 24/7/365 needs of the GSOC.
- Assist in managing the GSOC operations, including but not limited to:
- Identifying and addressing security threats and incidents.
- Producing timely and accurate reports and presentations.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective incident response.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in intelligence gathering, analysis, alerting, threat assessment, incident response, or a related field required.
- Ability to take initiative and multitask under pressure.
- Effective problem-solving, time management, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of world news and current events.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including accurate typing skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Google Earth and Maps or other Geographic Information System platforms.
- Strong customer-service skills, especially in person and over the phone; ability to communicate across varying professional levels.
- Familiarity with security tools, incident monitoring tools, and incident response procedures is preferred.
- Foreign travel and experience preferred.
