Intellectual Property Senior Counsel

About the role

Husch Blackwell LLP, a national law firm with multiple locations across the United States, has an immediate opening for an Intellectual Property Senior Counsel. We will consider candidates for any of our offices, including our virtual office, The Link. This position will work primarily with attorneys in our Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation business unit and may have a flexible billable-hour requirement.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate exceptional judgment and the ability to effectively handle multiple projects
• Articulate legal strategies and courses of action

Requirements

• Minimum of eight years of experience in intellectual property law (preferred)
• Degree in Computer Software, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field of study
• Active bar license corresponding to the state in which you reside, or commitment to obtain one as soon as possible
• Excellent academic credentials
• Superior interpersonal skills and a demonstrated record of working well under pressure
• Proactive, dynamic, and entrepreneurial mindset

Pay

Pursuant to applicable state laws, the compensation range for this position is:

• $190,000 to $240,000 in California, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington, and Washington, D.C. (commensurate with qualifications and experience)
• Salaries in all other markets will vary depending on market data
