Intellectual Property Attorney – St. Louis

About the role

Thompson Coburn is seeking an Intellectual Property litigation attorney to join its St. Louis office.

Responsibilities

• Handle patent litigation and other intellectual property disputes, including trademark, copyright, trade secret, and related commercial litigation matters.
• Manage significant aspects of complex litigation, such as case strategy, discovery, motion practice, client communications, and trial preparation.
• Assume substantial responsibility on sophisticated litigation matters.

Requirements

• 6–12 years of experience handling patent litigation and other IP disputes.
• Strong analytical, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Current license to practice law in Missouri.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience managing cases and serving in a lead supporting role.
• Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
• Existing client relationships or business development opportunities.
