Intellectual Disability - Advanced Direct Support Professional
About the role
Keystone Human Services is seeking Advanced Direct Support Professionals to provide individualized, person-directed support in areas such as intellectual disabilities, mental health, and autism. The role focuses on inclusion and community participation.
Responsibilities
- Create a healthy and engaging home setting
- Teach and assist with daily living skills
- Assist with personal care
- Advocate for the health and wellness of the people we support
- Administer medications, perform delegated nursing tasks, monitor health conditions, and implement behavior support plans
- Support individuals with high levels of need as defined by clinical and/or health care assessments
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year work experience supporting individuals with challenging medical needs and/or behaviors or dual diagnosis of intellectual disability and mental health
- Effective communication and proficient computer skills
- Successfully complete and maintain all required certifications and training mandated by regulations and additional specialized medical and/or behavioral health trainings
- Valid driver’s license and, depending on work location, daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle
