Basic Purpose Incumbent is responsible for service of food as ordered to the guest. Typical Functions Cleans tables and set them to be ready for immediate seating for theGreets GuestsMakes recommendations as they pertain to foodAnnounces daily specials, answers questions about menuDeliver food orders to guestsObserves guests for additional services asCleans and prepares tables for nextIs responsible for assisting at the end of the shift with cleanup of RestaurantAssist customers asReport equipment malfunctions toMaintain professional hygiene andAttend and satisfactorily complete required training as directed by the Supervisor or the Human Resources Department.Must perform all work functions in accordance with the Casino Safety Policies andOther duties as Required Competencies Integrity / Honesty All Black Mesa Casino employees must operate in an ethical manner by following all Black Mesa Casino policies and procedures relating to cash transactions, handling, tracking, and proper behavior between staff and customers. Incumbent must conduct oneself above the appearance of doing something wrong. Customer Service Develop a clear understanding of customers’ needs and goals while maintaining clear communication with customers regarding meeting their expectations. Must follow though and respond to customers’ requests and inform them of action taken in a courteous, professional manner. Teamwork Work effectively with division members and members of other divisions to resolve common issues or problems as well as listening and seeking others’ perspective on how to complete assignments. Keeps others informed and up to date about tasks, progress, or projects. Listening Incun1bents in this position must be able to understand auditory messages and non-verbal cues to derive meaning from spoken material. Requires the ability to remain attentive. Effort and Initiative Incumbent in this position must have the ability to work and take action without specific direction and without being monitored. Minimum Qualifications Six (6) months’ experience in food preparation in a restaurant, kitchen or dining area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Sufficient strength to carry food trays. Good Mobility to deliver drinks and food to guests Visual acuity and hearing are sufficient to take orders and prepare bill in a fast-paced environment. Must be polite, and friendly to deal with guestsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and give prompt and efficient serviceWillingness to work evenings and weekends as necessary
