Integrative Care is hiring three new RNs: Full-Time (40 hours/week), Full-Time (32 hours/week), and Part-Time (24 hours/week).

About the Schedule

  • Day Shift, 8-hour shifts
  • One full weekend (Saturday & Sunday) every 6 weeks
  • No holidays or nights
  • For 0.8 and 0.6 FTE, open to negotiating a fixed day off

About Integrative Care

Our Integrative Care Department partners with inpatient medical teams to go beyond traditional treatments in caring for the whole person – body, mind, and spirit. The team includes registered nurses (RNs) and licensed massage therapists (LMTs) with ongoing, advanced clinical training and certifications. Their care is person-centered, relationship-based, and focused on creating an optimal healing environment for patients and families.

Responsibilities

Clinical Judgement & Compliance

  • Use the nursing process to perform whole-person/whole-systems assessments of patients and families to identify needs and establish short and/or long-term goals.
  • Facilitate person-centered, relationship-based therapeutic partnerships with patients and families, developing plans of care based on what matters to them.
  • Provide integrative healthcare education and practices to meet patient and family needs, progressing from less to more intensive interventions to address identified needs and support wellbeing.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and modify care based on results.
  • Communicate relevant patient care information to promote continuity of care.
  • Participate in patient care conferences and/or rounds.
  • Apply basic problem-solving skills, including anticipating changing patient needs.
  • Report suspicions of abuse and neglect as mandated for investigation.
  • Promote and support pain and symptom management.
  • Document services and/or interventions provided.
  • Follow up on referrals in a timely manner.

Clinical Operations

  • Competently prioritize workflow based on integrative nursing assessment of patient/family care needs and other responsibilities.
  • Submit requests for supplies to support integrative nursing healthcare practice according to division guidelines.
  • Ensure work areas are organized, safe, and professional in appearance for employees, patients, and families, including designated integrative care rooms.
  • Identify potential problems, address barriers, assume ownership of problem-solving, and solve problems at the lowest possible level, demonstrating accountability for self and others.
  • Complete special assignments and projects while maintaining patient, family, and staff-related integrative healthcare practice.
  • Strive to increase personal productivity by identifying and implementing new work procedures where appropriate.
  • Proactively contribute to a positive work environment.

Performance Development

  • Support and participate in performance improvement activities.
  • Seek opportunities for involvement in evidence-based care/professional inquiry in integrative nursing and healthcare as a core component of maintaining professional nursing knowledge.
  • Actively contribute to the advancement of professional tenets within the division, hospital, and/or community.
  • Orient and supervise volunteers.
  • Contribute to the education and training of students and other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians.
  • Proactively share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Remain current in professional nursing practice, including integrative nursing practice.
  • Commit to and acquire continuing education to increase professional growth.
  • Integrate new nursing and integrative healthcare knowledge and skills into professional nursing practice.

Professional Practice

  • Competently and professionally engage in the multidisciplinary team process, actively participating in effective problem-solving, collegial learning, and pursuit of best practices in optimizing health and wellbeing.
  • Address conflicts directly, constructively, and tactfully.
  • Promote an atmosphere of cooperation, respect, and trust within the team.
  • Use authentic presence in responding to day-to-day needs of colleagues within the team and throughout the division.

Clinical Documentation

  • Complete required daily/weekly exchange of information and documentation according to division guidelines to ensure excellent patient and family care, integrative health services, and support team member productivity.
  • Complete fee-for-service documentation, if applicable.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in nursing and commitment to obtain a BSN
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing
  • 2+ years of nursing experience required
  • Registered Nurse License in the State of Ohio
  • Preferred: Certification in Reiki I or Healing Touch I
  • Preferred: Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) or other related integrative healthcare certification or licensure

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of integrative healthcare experience
  • Preferred: 2+ years of pediatric nursing experience

Pay

Expected starting pay range: $67,537.60 - $86,112.00 annually. Starting pay is based on experience, skills, and equity; exceptions may apply for highly qualified candidates. Additional pay (e.g., shift, on-call, or weekend differentials) and benefits may apply. Annual pay may vary based on FTE status.
