Integration Technician
About the role
We are looking for an Integration Technician for our Westbury, NY facility. In this role you will provide local technical services and support to Customers, Systems Engineering and all internal support departments. Integrate, install, calibrate and troubleshoot Oerlikon Metco Thermal Spray equipment and components. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assignments and goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
Responsibilities
- Install, integrate, test and train customers on specialized systems including robotic programming, interfacing and vacuum systems.
- Test, analyze, and adjust precision electromechanical instruments. Maintain and adjust electrical and mechanical components utilized with the Oerlikon Metco thermal spray equipment.
- Calibrate and adjust components and instruments in accordance with established ISO / Oerlikon Metco engineered standards.
- Complete calibration reports in accordance to ISO certifications. Complete service reports indicating cause and resolution of problems encountered.
- Complete daily time sheets and expense reports.
- Complete customer telephone technical reports.
Requirements
- 2+ years of electro-mechanical experience preferred- thermal spray experience a plus.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures related to field service and customer service support responsibilities.
- Associates or Bachelor's is a plus; experience may substitute.
- Must have the background ability to get security clearance needed to work at these facilities and US Citizenship.
- Excellent communications skills, excellent customer relations.
- Must be able to travel 80%, which includes domestic and international assignments.
- Vacuum system experience helpful.
