Integration Engineer

About the role

Enterprise Healthcare client has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Integration Engineer to join their dynamic and growing team. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. Location: Telecommute. Job type: Contract.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and support HL7 v2.x interfaces in Epic Bridges and integration engines Cloverleaf, Rhapsody and InterSystems Ensemble
• Design, build, and support Epic Bridges interfaces and related interoperability workflows, including vendor interfaces connected to Epic.
• Perform message analysis, mapping, and troubleshooting for HL7 message types (ADT, MDM, ORM, ORU, SIU, DFT, etc.), X12/EDI and resolve interface failures independently.
• Translate clinical/business requirements into HL7 mappings and integration specifications; create and maintain interface specs, mapping documents, diagrams and support guides.
• Perform Epic-side build/configuration changes in Bridges required to enable or modify interfaces.
• Support Epic upgrade cycles, including Nova Notes review, regression testing, and end-to-end validation.
• Monitor interface queues and transaction logs for errors/latency; coordinate remediation and communicate status and impact to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure data exchange complies with HIPAA and organizational security standards; support secure connectivity patterns as required.
