About the role

Capital One is seeking Integration Engineers who are passionate about creating and supporting DevOps tools with emerging technologies. In this role you will help drive a major transformation, providing technical support, managing Google Workspace, and building resilient, scalable platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Meet, etc.) for the organization.
• Provide prompt and effective technical support to users, troubleshooting issues and answering questions.
• Monitor system performance, security, and data integrity, taking proactive measures to address potential problems.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest Google Workspace features and best practices, implementing updates and improvements as needed.
• Develop and maintain clear documentation and training materials for users.
• Build and maintain the underlying operational aspects of the platform, including remediating vulnerabilities.
• Monitor platform support Slack channels and address customer questions and issues.
• Lead the availability, resilience, and scalability of the platform.
• Work closely with the Architecture team to align platforms with the latest architecture and configuration.
• Encourage innovation, automation, cutting‑edge technologies, inclusion, outside‑the‑box thinking, teamwork, self‑organization, and diversity.
• Develop and utilize best practices to enhance the overall user experience of the platform.
• Utilize scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.), container orchestration services (Docker, ECS), configuration‑management tools (Ansible, Terraform), and a variety of AWS tools and services.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers to ensure software works seamlessly on the platforms.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 3 years of experience supporting or maintaining cross‑platform integrations or system connectivity.
• At least 3 years of experience developing or supporting API‑based integrations using scripting or orchestration tools.
• At least 1 year of experience driving testing, testing frameworks, or integrating new platforms.
• At least 1 year of experience administering Google Workspace.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience working in a cloud‑based environment (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• 3+ years of experience with deployment tooling (Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory).
• 3+ years of experience in Agile practices.
• Experience managing identity and access within systems.
• 4+ years of experience implementing or maintaining API‑based integrations.
• Experience collaborating with architects or platform teams to define integration frameworks and reference architectures.
• 2+ years of experience automating infrastructure or system configuration using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (CloudWatch, Splunk, Datadog) to ensure integration performance and resiliency.
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading small integration‑focused initiatives.

Pay

Salary ranges (full‑time annual) by location: McLean, VA – $131,300 – $149,800; New York, NY – $143,200 – $163,500; Plano, TX – $119,400 – $136,200; Richmond, VA – $119,400 – $136,200. Candidates in other locations will receive the range applicable to that location. This role is also eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives.
