About the role
The Integration Analyst connects the company's business systems and turns their data into usable information. The role focuses on data integration and reporting, supporting software integrations that move data between systems, providing ERP support (including EDI), and managing IT and systems projects from request through delivery. This role suits a technically strong problem solver who is comfortable working in SQL and XML, communicates well with business and IT partners, and can drive projects to completion.
Data Integration and Reporting
- Design, build, and maintain data integrations and extracts between the ERP, EDI platform, and other business systems (e.g., HR, finance, and reporting tools).
- Develop and support reports, dashboards, and KPIs for operations, supply chain, customer service, and finance (e.g., order-to-ship performance, on-time delivery, inventory, and integration health).
- Write, tune, and maintain SQL queries, views, and stored procedures; use XML and related formats to move, transform, and validate data.
- Validate data quality and reconcile data across systems; identify and correct root causes of data issues.
- Partner with stakeholders to translate reporting and data needs into clear requirements and deliver self-service reporting where possible.
- Document data flows, mappings, business rules, and report definitions.
- Automate manual data handling and recurring reports using scripting and scheduled processes.
Software Integration Support
- Support and troubleshoot integrations between enterprise and third-party applications, including APIs, web services, flat files, middleware, and scheduled jobs.
- Monitor integration jobs and interfaces, resolve failures, and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Configure, test, and deploy interface changes in collaboration with vendors, developers, and application owners.
- Gather requirements and support the design and testing of new integrations and application upgrades.
- Maintain technical documentation, interface inventories, and support procedures.
- Support application security, access, and change-control practices related to integrations.
ERP Support
- Provide day-to-day ERP support, including troubleshooting, user assistance, configuration, data corrections, and master data maintenance for order, inventory, purchasing, shipping, and invoicing processes.
- Participate in ERP testing, upgrades, enhancements, and release management.
- Work with business users to understand process needs and recommend ERP improvements and automation opportunities.
- Provide EDI support within the ERP environment: monitor inbound and outbound transactions (e.g., 850, 855, 856, 810, 830, 862, 997) and resolve errors.
- Assist with onboarding and testing new trading partners and coordinate with customers, suppliers, carriers, and EDI service providers.
Project Management
- Lead small- to mid-size IT and systems projects, including integrations, ERP enhancements, reporting initiatives, and system upgrades.
- Define scope, requirements, timelines, budgets, and deliverables; maintain project plans, risk and issue logs, and status reports.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors or consultants.
- Facilitate requirements sessions, user acceptance testing, cutover planning, training, and post-go-live support.
- Apply consistent project and change management practices and communicate progress to stakeholders and leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5+ years of experience in data integration, reporting, ERP support, or a related IT role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL (complex queries, joins, views, stored procedures, performance tuning).
- Working knowledge of XML (and related formats such as XSD/XSLT, JSON) for data exchange and transformation.
- Experience with reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, or similar).
- Experience supporting an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Deacom, or similar).
- Experience supporting application integrations (APIs, web services, flat files, middleware, or ETL tools).
- Project management experience, including planning, stakeholder communication, and delivery.
- Working knowledge of EDI concepts, standards, and communication protocols.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with an EDI translation platform or managed service (e.g., SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce, or similar).
- Scripting or automation experience (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or similar).
