About the role

General Dynamics Mission Systems is seeking an experienced Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead to support sustainment of the US Navy Ohio Class Fire Control System. The IPT Lead will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team in the planning, execution, and delivery of Basic Order Agreement (BOA) projects in support of operational requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage an Integrated Product Team (IPT) across engineering, program management, contracts, logistics, and supply chain functions
  • Coordinate the planning and execution in alignment with BOA contractual requirements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding BOA projects
  • Develop and maintain program schedules, budgets, and performance metrics
  • Identify and mitigate program risks and issues
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and technical requirements
  • Facilitate IPT meetings, reviews, and status reporting
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to assess obsolescence and identify refresh solutions
  • Support proposal and BOA task order activities as needed
  • Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is required.

  • Familiarity with Electronic Test equipment
  • Success leading the systems development life cycle with strong proficiency with requirements management and system modeling tools

  • Strong presentation and communications skills with experience in the art of negotiation and the ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions

This position is fully on-site. While on-site, you will be a part of the FBM Operational Support team in Pittsfield, MA.
