About the role
When you work in Freight Logistics and Operations at Kuehne+Nagel, you play a key role in optimising processes and ensuring that inventory and shipments move efficiently. Your work also helps ensure that vital medicines reach patients on time and supports other essential deliveries, from wind turbines to semiconductors. The Integrated Logistics Senior Project Manager holds a senior-level position within the Integrated Logistics organization, involving close collaboration with senior stakeholders across key areas, including Customer, KN Process & Systems, Operations, and Business Management & LSPs.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of small to medium projects and ensure delivery according to agreed scope and standards.
- Lead implementation projects in alignment with global and regional project management methodologies and risk control frameworks.
- Support the Lead Project Manager in case of regional project support.
- Provide management-level project updates for internal and external stakeholders.
- Interact with stakeholders on the customer and LSP sides, addressing issues.
- Ensure effective resource coordination and project execution aligned with FY corporate standards.
- Drive optimization of implementation budgets, leveraging experience across multiple projects.
- Ensure delivery of projects within budget and on schedule, addressing and resolving any deviations related to scope, budget, or timelines.
- Raise change requests in case of deviations from the agreed Statement of Work (SOW).
- Prepare all required documents throughout the implementation lifecycle, including the Project Charter during initiation and the Business Requirements Document (BRD) in the Plan & Design phase.
- Maintain accurate and timely project reporting.
- Facilitate lessons-learned sessions and actively apply knowledge to future projects.
Requirements
- Master’s level, ideally in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in Project & Program Management.
- Proven knowledge and experience with all modes of transport.
- Demonstrated analytical skills (numeric/quantitative and process/qualitative).
- Proven ability to manage projects and stakeholders in a virtual environment.
- Capable of managing projects independently.
- Proven experience in full life cycle project management, including working on one or more small-to-medium scale general, business, supply chain, logistics, and system implementation projects.
- Familiarity with or exposure to different project management methodologies and frameworks, including Prince2, PMI’s PMBOK, etc. (preferred).
- Very good time management skills, ability to fulfill critical tasks on time, meet deadlines, and set priorities.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal).
