Job Description

The Integrated Behavioral Health Consultant (IBHC) works under the supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health and serves as a member of the care team. The IBHC provides clinical mental health consultation to patients based on their medical condition(s), documents all patient-provider interactions, participates in interdisciplinary teams, and supports the organization as needed. They also handle crisis triage and intervention.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provides clinical consultation to primary care providers (PCP) and staff regarding mental and/or behavioral health issues related to patient’s medical condition(s).
  • Documents all patient-provider interactions following health care standards.
  • Participates as an active member of an integrated patient-centered team.
  • Responsible for crisis triage and intervention.
  • Supports the organization as needed.

Qualifications

  • Current, valid, and unrestricted license of independent practice in the State of Arizona (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) is required.
  • A master's degree in social work or related discipline from an accredited program is required.
  • Three years of experience as a behavioral health provider is required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred.
  • Experience in NextGen Electronic Health Record is preferred.
  • Experience working with a diverse population in a community health setting is preferred.
  • Proficient with computer-based applications such as MS Office, Adobe, and electronic health records.
