INTAKE WORKER/COORD (PER DIEM)

Responsibilities

The PRN Admissions Mental Health Technician provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Director of Admissions. The Admissions Mental Health Technician is responsible for the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention and activities of daily living.

• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers procedures
• Intervene with patients during critical incidents, such as escalation, elopement, and suicidal behavior
• Actively engage with patient population
• Observe patient behavior and document observations according to hospital policies

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED is required
• A Bachelor's Degree is preferred
• Knowledge of psychiatric group processes, therapeutic relationship processes, age-specific growth and development, behavioral management, crisis management with aggressive behaviors
