Intake Representative - Cardiology

Responsibilities
- Interview the patient or their representative to obtain and verify identifying information such as name, address, age, date of birth, social security number, occupation, and insurance details.
- Obtain authorization and interface with the PBX operator and reception areas.
- Operate a computer to input and retrieve data.
- Communicate effectively with diverse populations using age-specific techniques from neonatal, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, middle adults to geriatrics.
- Maintain proficiency in medical terminology.
- Complete special projects or other assignments within specified timeframes.
Requirements
- Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
