Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least two years experience in a clerical role; healthcare preferred
Responsibilities
- Actively engage with individuals and families seeking mental health services, offering a welcoming and supportive intake experience
- Provide information about available services, begin the intake process by helping individuals and families with intake forms and self-assessments
- Instill a sense of hope for individuals and families seeking mental health services
- Assist individuals through their intake process including the check-out process by scheduling next appointments
- Enhance engagement and outreach of new individuals and families by providing a welcoming, supportive intake experience and offering smooth transition from an individual’s first access point for services to intake appointment and to ongoing program services
- Attend team meetings and receive assignments from supervisor, team leader or designee
- Afford assistance to team and staff in identifying program environments that are conducive to recovery; lend their unique insight into mental illness or dual diagnosis and what makes recovery possible
- Educate new individuals and families on EM service array and person-centered planning process, often during same day access to intake
- Promote client decision-making and assist consumers in determining goals and objectives that will help reach recovery
- Aid consumers in obtaining services that suit their individual recovery needs
- Complete the intake pre-session process which includes a series of registration and intake forms to assist with the intake process
- Report and document service activity according to Easterseals MORC’s Operations Manual, Medicaid Provider Manual and Michigan Mental Health Code
- Demonstrate knowledge of principles of trauma informed care
- Willingness to support and assist consumers with trauma related issues
