Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• At least two years experience in a clerical role; healthcare preferred

Responsibilities

• Actively engage with individuals and families seeking mental health services, offering a welcoming and supportive intake experience
• Provide information about available services, begin the intake process by helping individuals and families with intake forms and self-assessments
• Instill a sense of hope for individuals and families seeking mental health services
• Assist individuals through their intake process including the check-out process by scheduling next appointments
• Enhance engagement and outreach of new individuals and families by providing a welcoming, supportive intake experience and offering smooth transition from an individual’s first access point for services to intake appointment and to ongoing program services
• Attend team meetings and receive assignments from supervisor, team leader or designee
• Afford assistance to team and staff in identifying program environments that are conducive to recovery; lend their unique insight into mental illness or dual diagnosis and what makes recovery possible
• Educate new individuals and families on EM service array and person-centered planning process, often during same day access to intake
• Promote client decision-making and assist consumers in determining goals and objectives that will help reach recovery
• Aid consumers in obtaining services that suit their individual recovery needs
• Complete the intake pre-session process which includes a series of registration and intake forms to assist with the intake process
• Report and document service activity according to Easterseals MORC’s Operations Manual, Medicaid Provider Manual and Michigan Mental Health Code
• Demonstrate knowledge of principles of trauma informed care
• Willingness to support and assist consumers with trauma related issues
