Intake Operator
Pay: $26.50 USD per hour +$0.50-night shift differential $3,000 SIGN-ON BONUS!
- Rotational Night Shift, 6:00 PM-6:00 AM; Wednesday, Thursday, Friday one week and Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday the opposite week
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Communicate with the operator you are relieving, to gain knowledge of the present state of the equipment and production run.
- Review previous shift paperwork and follow the set production schedules closely.
- Monitor, plan, and track all incoming products for upcoming production runs.
- Absorb and assist/train as a backup in Filtration and Evap. This includes relieving employees for breaks, training, or additional duties as assigned.
- Communicate with all departmental operators to efficiently manage silo space and production schedules. Any issues should be reported to your shift lead or supervisor/manager/.
- Pull liquid samples prior to unloading trucks and test for pH, temperature and NIR Analysis. If product is out of specification, notify Shift Lead/Supervisor/Manager immediately.
- Maintain proper documentation for production Runs and CIP’s.
- Maintain a clean and organized area.
- Maintain daily sanitation schedule.
- Maintain clean silos, lines, and documentation for these.
- Follow GMP guidelines and be safety oriented.
- Apply knowledge of the NIR and with the corresponding documentation.
- Maintain silo allies and report any deficiencies to shift lead/supervisor.
- Must be able to perform state required testing.
- Absorb and assist with plant audits as needed.
- Absorb and assist with training new team members as applicable.
- Take personal responsibility to engage in plant and food safety practices to prevent hazards that cause foodborne illness or injury and provide a clean, safe work environment and quality products.
- Report actual or potential food safety concerns to management in a timely fashion.
- Have an awareness of food safety metrics and SQF Code as it relates to employees’ role.
- Actively participate in building a food safety and quality culture.
Qualifications
- Prior machine operator experience or equivalent skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Licensed forklift operator or willingness to learn
