About the role
As part of our team, you will contribute to our mission by performing the following duties:
- Retrieves samples from the trucks delivering milk to the intake
- Qualifies new patrons and existing patrons when needed
- Receives and loads out cream, whey, skim, and milk
- Completes paperwork for the state as needed
- Unloads and performs CIP on delivery trucks
- Performs Rosa testing (antibiotic)
- Communicates with lab technicians when receiving a positive load
- Completes receiving line set up
- Positions tankers to/from intake bay using the yard horse
- Monitors and adjusts silo quantities and wash intervals to comply with state and federal regulations
- Monitors and communicates segregation of milks
- Monitors and orders yard horse fuel
- Identifies and communicates yard horse malfunctions
- Performs CIP concentration checks and systems monitoring
Requirements
- High school education or GED; or 6 - 12 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one and small group situations to employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to perform these operations using weight measurement and volume
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
