Intake Coordinator-Pharmacy Technician-GA

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs daily, weekly and monthly scheduled tasks to efficiently input new patients into the pharmacy system.
• This position is primarily responsible for creating patient records and coordinating all incoming new orders via, phone, fax or web to meet the needs of the department.
• Compile and maintain patient data to document patient’s prescription profile, conditions and treatment, serving as a link between patient, physician and pharmacy.
• Verify insurance. Accurately input necessary data to keep patient records up to date.
• Provide backup support to team members as needed.
• Communicate clearly and effectively both in person and on the phone to a variety of audiences including patients, patient care providers, physicians, pharmacists and staff.
• General administrative support as assigned by manager

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Must be registered in the state of Georgia as a Pharmacy Technician; Certificate is a plus.
• Experience in a retail pharmacy environment is preferred.
• PioneerRx software experience is preferred.
