Intake Coordinator - On Call/PRN

Responsibilities

• Respond to telephone and face-to-face inquiries from persons seeking mental health care or information about mental health-related services.
• Greet new patients and help them feel safe.
• Check patient insurance details and benefits.
• Collect information and fill out intake forms.
• Absolute responsibility in maintaining a safe, orderly and therapeutic physical environment for all patients.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians and health professional affiliates, healthcare facilities, and nursing staff.
• Maintain knowledge of legal guidelines pertaining to EMTALA/COBRA and abuse/neglect reporting.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience in healthcare or customer service is required.
• Great communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Good computer skills and attention to detail are necessary.
• A current CPR certification is required.
