Responsibilities

• Greet individuals and families seeking mental health services at community partnerships, including hospitals, shelters, SUD treatment facilities, and more.
• Provide information about available services and instill a sense of hope.
• Engage in community inclusion activities, advocacy, education, and various direct services aimed at enhancing the recovery journey of our individuals and families served.
• Participate in team meetings and receive assignments from supervisor, team leader, or designee.
• Afford assistance in identifying program environments conducive to recovery and lend unique insights into mental illness or dual diagnosis.
• Educate new individuals and families on EM service array and person-centered planning process, often in hospital and community settings.
• Aid individuals and families in obtaining services that suit their individual recovery needs.
• Complete the intake pre-session process for individuals and families wishing to obtain services, which includes intake forms, screening tools, and the Request for Services document as needed.
• Report and document service activity according to Easterseals MORC’s Operations Manual, Medicaid Provider Manual, and Michigan Mental Health Code.
• Demonstrate knowledge of principles of trauma-informed care and willingness to support and assist individuals and families with trauma-related issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university.
• Possess an LLBSW with the State of Michigan, LBSW preferred.
• Ability to work closely and communicate effectively with persons with mental and/or physical limitations.
• Ability to proceed in carrying out oral and/or written directions given by team members or individual/family.
• Valid driver’s license in the State of Michigan and proof of insurance.

Qualifications

• Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule (40 hours per week), typically 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. Some schedule flexibility may be available at the discretion of the supervisor with appropriate advance notice.
