Intake Clinician EMPACT

About the role

The Clinical Service Liaison (Intake Clinician) at EMPACT-Suicide Prevention Center will engage the community to promote mental health resources, assist in referrals, and provide initial evaluations and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Participate in community outreach and engagement for mental health education and resource identification
• Develop and maintain relationships with community providers
• Facilitate community and professional presentations on mental health resources
• Track and report on outreach activities, including mileage and expenses
• Conduct initial enrollments and evaluations for referrals from outreach activities
• Support families, youth, and adults through direct services in various settings
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure continuity of care and quality service delivery
• Deliver 40 hours of work per week, with a focus on 15 hours of direct client contact
• Participate in regular supervision and accept feedback to improve performance
• Interact with the clinical team, support staff, and stakeholders to achieve essential job responsibilities

Requirements

• Must be a BHT (Behavioral Health Technician)
• Basic clinical skills and effective communication abilities
• Comfortable with public speaking and outreach to various audiences
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Valid Arizona driver’s license and liability insurance
• Ability to remain calm in crisis situations and maintain professional conduct

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Training or experience in mental health field
• Knowledge of NextGen software preferred but not required
• Fingerprint clearance card or eligibility to obtain one
• At least 21 years old at time of employment
