Job Overview

The Intake Academic Advisor performs professional-level academic advising and student services to undergraduate students in a centralized advising environment. This position advises students regarding general education, university, and graduation requirements; interprets and applies academic policies and procedures; and delivers high-touch student service in a high-traffic environment. The role supports new and continuing students through intake, orientation, and enrollment-related services, and makes appropriate referrals and academic interventions as needed.

Position Summary

Intake Academic Advisor (Student Services Professional II) - 2 positions
This is to fill two full-time, exempt positions, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period.

Pay, Benefits, and Work Schedule

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,083 per month
CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,083 - $7,228 per month
Salary is commensurate with the background and experience of the individual selected.
This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 15 paid holidays are offered each year; 14 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.
