About the role
The ideal candidate will be local to the Tampa market.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of insurance verifications
- Obtaining PCP referrals for all office visits and scans
- Obtaining authorizations for all surgical procedures done in office
- Handling prior authorization denials, PCP denials, out of network payers, treatment exclusions, and customer service issues
- Maintaining productivity targets and ensuring staff work is completed in a timely manner
- Conducting regular staff meetings and performing annual performance reviews
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- At least 3 years of progressively responsible managerial experience in a medical setting
- At least 3 years of experience in a management or leadership role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to research complex information, create insights, and communicate recommendations
- Effective time and project management skills
- Ability to regularly review productivity and make staffing adjustments as needed
