What You Will Do
- Onboard, train, and develop Security Service Insurance agents and licensed branch staff to offer quotes and sell Personal and Commercial lines Insurance products.
- Work closely with preferred carriers to align appetites and provide ongoing training designed to maximize carrier relationships.
- Partner with agency management to align training programs with company sales targets and revenue growth goals.
- Educate agents on using CRM systems, quoting software, and other agency technology.
- Ensure all training aligns with state insurance regulations and company policies.
- Monitor agent performance, identify skill gaps, and implement strategies to increase sales, such as role-playing exercises for objection handling.
- Teach effective techniques to improve objection handling, product knowledge, and consultative selling skills.
- Provide one-on-one coaching and training to new agents, guiding them through the sales cycle.
- Deliver in-person and virtual workshops, webinars, and seminars covering sales techniques, product knowledge, and compliance.
- Create and update training materials, including presentations and digital content for onboarding new hires and upskilling existing agents.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of insurance ethics and regulations in each state licensed to transact insurance business.
- Complete any other job-related duties needed to help drive the organization's Vision, fulfill its Purpose, and abide by its Values.
What We Require
- Bachelor degree in Business, Education, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in insurance sales, personal and commercial (5+ years).
- Active General and Surplus Lines license required.
- Insurance sales training experience (3+ years).
- Deep knowledge of adult learning techniques.
- Experience in coaching, training, and developing sales producers to maintain and improve productivity/sales results.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance products, sales methodologies, rating procedures, underwriting, industry operations, and regulatory requirements.
- Vertafore Agency Management system(s) (AMS360/PL Rater/Agency Zoom) experience.
- Knowledge of rating procedures, coverages, underwriting and industry operations.
- Able to communicate verbally and in writing to explain complex issues and interpret complex information, and respond appropriately.
- Knowledge of Microsoft suite of products.
- Bachelor degree in Business, Education or equivalent.
- General lines and Surplus lines License.
- Industry designation desirable (CPCU, AINS, AIS).
- Persuasive, focused, and equipped with the ability to multitask.
- Ability to perform a large number of steps in complex systems with accuracy and speed.
