Insurance Segment Accounting Operations Associate

About the role

The Associate Reinsurance Accounting position is responsible for overseeing key accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting regulatory compliance within KKR’s Insurance Segment while coordinating with other areas across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of key accounting processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting regulatory compliance within KKR’s Insurance Segment
• Supporting treaty administration, including settlements, cash movements, and statement validation
• Maintaining standard reinsurance reports for internal management and regulatory use
• Collaborating with actuarial, finance, and operations teams to ensure alignment on reinsurance balances and reserves
• Serving as accounting support during onboarding of new transactions
• Assisting with ongoing automation and finance transformation projects
• Assisting with audit requests and maintaining control documentation
• Participating in special projects with cross-functional impact
• Assisting with ad-hoc requests, as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting or related field
• Certified Public Accountant preferred
• Big Four experience preferred (associate or higher)
• 4-8 years of related work experience with recent experience in insurance industry
• Experience with Oracle or SAP accounting systems preferred
• Advanced Excel skills
• Demonstrated expertise in GAAP accounting standards and practices
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong written and oral communication skills
