Insurance Sales Representative

About the role

Our client, a leading Non-Profit, is looking to add a Sales Rep to their team. This person will have hybrid capabilities after 12 months of success in the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive, personalized consultation to commercial and personal line clients, ensuring responsible and comprehensive account support.
• Serve as a technical insurance resource for clients and internal staff by presenting coverage options, policy provisions, and industry best practices.
• Evaluate and compare carrier quotes, coverage options, and pricing to develop, quote, close and bind tailored insurance recommendations.
• Coordinate and attend off-site client meetings to strengthen relationships and address insurance needs.
• Manage policy renewals to ensure timely processing and uninterrupted coverage.
• Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, and audits accurately and efficiently.
• Respond promptly to underwriter inquiries and facilitate the timely resolution of underwriting requirements.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive client records in AMS360, including policy information, correspondence, activities, and follow-up items.
• Reconcile direct bill commission statements with the general ledger in collaboration with the accounting department.
• Extensive intrastate travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline required.
• Active NJ, Property, Casualty, Insurance licenses required. Other state licenses a plus.
• 2+ years of progressive experience in the insurance industry and experience in sales and business development.
• Valid driver license and proven safe driving record.
