About the role
Northwestern Mutual is seeking ambitious, relationship-driven individuals to join our growing team as In-Market Sales Representatives. This is a full-cycle sales opportunity where you will build meaningful client relationships, guide individuals and families through important financial decisions, and help clients create long-term financial security through personalized insurance and financial solutions.
Responsibilities
- Possess a deep understanding of insurance, retirement, and wealth-building strategies
- Conduct in-person consultations to assess financial goals and protection needs
- Build strong long-term client relationships through trust, communication, and consistent follow-up
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and networking to closing and ongoing client support
- Develop customized financial solutions tailored to each client's needs
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and business activities using CRM systems
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales and activity goals
- Participate in networking events, community outreach, and referral-building opportunities
Requirements
Must reside in St. Louis, MO
Previous sales experience
Motivated, goal-oriented, and entrepreneurial individuals
Strong communicators who enjoy building relationships
Self-starters with a strong work ethic and positive mindset
Candidates comfortable working in a client-facing, field-based sales environment
