The Virginia Farm Bureau seeks an Insurance Sales Agent to join their team in the Craig County Farm Bureau Office in New Castle, VA.

Responsibilities

• Review and service an existing book of business provided by Virginia Farm Bureau
• Work independently and manage time effectively
• Build strong relationships with community members and organizations
• Communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Manage and grow a book of business through sales efforts

Requirements

• Property & Casualty license and Life, Health & Annuities license, or ability to obtain these with Virginia Farm Bureau providing and paying for licensing training materials/class
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Good time management skills
• Prior sales experience (any industry) helpful but not required
• Goal-Oriented and driven to succeed

Qualifications

• Exempt status
• Reports to the Agency Manager
• Average First-Year Total Compensation: $52,000 - $125,000 annually (inclusive of base salary)
• Base Salary: $37,000 - $52,000 annually (dependent upon location and established book of business)
