Insurance Sales Agent - Battle Creek, MI
Sales, Retention & Revenue Growth
Own the sale and ongoing service of ACG-branded and brokered insurance products, memberships, and financial products within a high-traffic ACG branch; uncover customer needs, generate new business, retain existing clients, grow ACG's insurance portfolio, overcome objections, negotiate effectively, close sales, and meet or exceed individual sales targets and incentive plan expectations.
Insurance Reviews & Policy Execution
Conduct comprehensive insurance reviews to assess risk, identify coverage gaps, recommend appropriate solutions, and quote, bind, and issue policies in accordance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong rapport with members and clients, respond to inquiries with professionalism and urgency, and support high customer satisfaction, loyalty, and trust in the AAA brand.
Prospecting, Community Engagement & Referrals
Actively engage in local branch and community events to prospect, expand referral networks, develop new business opportunities, and identify cross-sell and referral opportunities into Travel and Financial Services to maximize overall member value.
Minimum Qualifications
- Active State Property & Casualty Insurance Sales license
- Active State Life and Health Insurance Sales license, or obtain within 60 days of hire
- Must qualify, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses and appointments required for selling and/or servicing ACG Group Membership products
- Obtain Health and Accident licenses and appointments where applicable as deemed necessary and within a time frame established by the Business Unit
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year(s) of customer-facing experience in a fast-paced computer automated business environment (i.e., financial/banking)
- Insurance Experience Is Helpful—but Not Required. We provide training to help you get confident in the role

- Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and close sales opportunities, including disciplined lead tracking, follow-up, pipeline management, and accountability for achieving and exceeding performance goals
- Apply consultative selling techniques supported by deep product knowledge, strong listening skills, and the ability to quickly assess customer needs, identify coverage gaps, recommend appropriate solutions, and deliver tailored value
- Proven ability to generate new opportunities through referrals, outbound activity, networking, and other business-development efforts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer-first mindset and confidence in guiding sales conversations
- Proficient in leveraging technology to support sales execution, including CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications
Compensation & Benefits Overview
- Base pay (non-exempt): Typical Starting Earnings $55,000 - $70,000 (First-year, based on performance)
- Ramp-up support: $5,000 processed 30 and 60 days of employment
- Supplemental Pay: $200/week during months 0–2, $150/week during months 3–4, $100/week during months 5–6

Work Environment
Work in a temperature controlled AAA branch location; this is an onsite position Ability to work varied hours, including possible weekends Some travel to local events may be required
