Responsibilities
- Speak with prospective and current clients to understand their insurance needs and recommend the right coverage options
- Prepare quotes, review policy details, and guide clients through the application process
- Build lasting relationships through consistent follow-up and thoughtful service
- Identify opportunities to round out policies and help clients protect what matters most
- Maintain accurate records of client conversations, quotes, applications, and policy changes
- Work closely with carriers and internal team members to move business forward smoothly
- Stay current on product updates, coverage changes, and state insurance requirements
- Support a positive client experience from the first conversation through policy issuance and beyond
Requirements
- Active Maine Property & Casualty insurance license
- Prior experience in insurance sales, account management, or a related customer-facing role
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to explain coverage options clearly and confidently
- Comfort with prospecting, follow-up, and relationship-based sales
- Proficiency with basic computer systems, email, and CRM tools
- Strong attention to detail when preparing quotes, applications, and policy updates
- Ability to work from the Topsham, Maine office
Qualifications
- Preferred experience with Personal Lines and/or Commercial Lines Insurance
- Preferred familiarity with carrier portals and quoting systems
