Insurance Safety Consultant

About the role

Leverage your industry expertise as a Risk Management Consultant (RMC) covering eastern and southeastern North Carolina—including Johnston, Wilson, Wayne, Pitt, Lenoir, Greene, Sampson, Cumberland, Bladen, and Columbus counties. This field role focuses on reviewing and assessing current and potential clients during the underwriting and renewal process. You will work from a home office with minimal direct supervision, spending about 3-4 days per week in the field and traveling to our Raleigh office for meetings and company events up to four times per year.

Responsibilities

• Identify, schedule, and meet with policyholders in your assigned region.
• Prepare and submit survey reports within required timeframes.
• Conduct periodic safety talks in areas of proficiency as requested by clients, associations, and your manager.
• Provide risk management services and marketing information to potential and current clients.
• Exhibit excellent time management skills while working remotely.
• Conduct business professionally to conserve and protect corporate assets.
• Support the Territory Sales Manager in assisting agents within the region.

Overnight travel is minimal.

Requirements

• BA/BS in a Science/Technology field and a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in safety/risk management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong computer skills (MS Office).
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
• Excellent customer service, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Highly effective time management abilities.
