About the role
Avalon Risk Management is seeking an experienced outside sales producer to grow our Southern territory. The ideal candidate understands logistics, importation, and trade and can sell sophisticated solutions rather than commoditized insurance.
Responsibilities
- Proactively develop new business
- Conduct coverage reviews
- Work closely with underwriters
- Present tailored proposals
- Travel throughout the Southern territory
- Participate in industry organizations
- Use Avalon's agency management system, Applied Epic
Requirements
- Licensed insurance professional with experience specifically within international trade, logistics, freight forwarding, 3PL, or a closely related industry
- Property & Casualty Producer license
- Proven insurance outside sales experience
Qualifications
- Comfortable having technical conversations with business owners, risk managers, and senior leaders
- Understanding of importation and logistics operations
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to build long-term relationships
- Technical knowledge of logistics and trade
- Prospecting and sales experience
