About the role
Work independently in the field to conduct insurance premium audits.
Responsibilities
- Review audit requests
- Prioritize inventory and schedule workload
- Make contact with the named insured to schedule appointments
- Travel to businesses to conduct on-site interviews and examine records
- Research and apply appropriate manual rules and classifications
- Prepare written audit reports including data analysis, calculations, and classifications
Requirements
- Ability to work independently
- Dependable and self-motivated
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Pleasant, yet professional personality
- A two-year degree in accounting or related subject preferred
- Experience in bookkeeping and payroll preparation considered
- Commercial insurance expertise
- Reliable transportation when travel is necessary
