About the role
This position provides essential support for daily insurance administration processes, financial coordination, and proper accounting methodology. The role performs a wide range of clerical and administrative assistance functions, including the maintenance of records, data compilation, financial reporting, and ensuring all transactions comply with Sarbanes-Oxley. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for risk management and insurance claims, particularly for catastrophic events.
Responsibilities
- Partner with project management teams on procurement activities, including purchase order creation, requisition processing, and full procure-to-pay support.
- Track insurance-related costs and execute month-end accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with accounting to ensure proper accounting methodology and compliance with company policy.
- Lead financial tracking, reporting, and analysis for business services operations.
- Support and oversee master data creation and maintenance to ensure data accuracy across systems.
- Coordinate with project managers, site personnel, finance, and business management to prepare and distribute memos required under financing agreements.
- Facilitate executive signature processes for required documentation.
- Maintain organized financial data and insurance tracking systems.
- Monitor and validate all insurance-related cost flows and provide cost analysis to insurance providers.
- Manage discussions and claims processing using PALMS between risk management and insurance adjusters.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- 11-15 years of experience in administrative financial support, record maintenance, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP financial modules.
- Knowledge of month-end accrual processes.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
