About the role

The Insurance Investigator assists patients with insurance benefits, financial assistance, and enrollment processes. They act as a liaison among medical staff, patients, insurance payers, and financial services to ensure seamless patient care.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorizations
• Facilitate enrollment in coverage
• Set up payment plans
• Provide excellent customer service
• Navigate complex conversations with clarity
• Communicate effectively and motivate team members

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of experience in insurance benefit verification and healthcare or finance

Skills

• Experience with medical settings (preferred)
• Knowledge of insurance policies (preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (preferred)
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities

Pay

$18.00 – $32.00 per hour, based on experience.
