About the Role
This Insurance Follow-Up Representative is responsible for collecting payments on outstanding claims to ensure prompt and timely reimbursement. This position also reviews accounts to determine patient eligibility for various forms of coverage, determine merit of collection efforts, and review aged accounts.
Responsibilities
- Consistently completes accurate and timely claims submission and resubmission to appropriate parties.
- Use assertive follow-up techniques with payers, providing information, corrections, and problem resolution.
- Take phone calls from internal and external customers answering questions, taking payments, and resolving issues.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate degree preferred.
- Two years clerical experience in a health care setting required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.

Pay
Hourly Compensation: $20.00 - $21.00 depending on experience.
