About the Opportunity
Addison Group is hiring multiple Insurance Follow-Up Representatives on behalf of our client for a contract-to-hire opportunity within a growing healthcare management organization. This role is part of a revenue cycle team undergoing expansion and transformation, offering the chance to join a dynamic environment focused on improving reimbursement performance and denial resolution processes.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze denied, unpaid, and underpaid claims to determine resolution pathways
- Research denial reasons and identify trends related to coding, eligibility, authorization, or payer processing issues
- Prepare and submit appeals in compliance with payer deadlines and documentation requirements
- Obtain and compile supporting records (medical documentation, referrals, authorizations) for claim reconsideration
- Monitor claim and appeal status through resolution, ensuring timely follow-up
- Work assigned accounts receivable queues to meet productivity and aging standards
- Contact payers via portals, correspondence, and direct outreach to resolve outstanding balances
- Investigate payment variances and underpayments to ensure accurate reimbursement
- Document all account activity thoroughly and ensure compliance with internal policies and audit standards
- Collaborate with coding, billing, and other internal teams to resolve root causes of denials and improve processes
Requirements
- Minimum of 3+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience, with a focus on AR or denial management
- Strong background in physician/professional billing environments preferred
- Experience working denials, insurance follow-up, or claims resolution activities
- Familiarity with payer reimbursement processes and insurance guidelines
- Experience with electronic health record or billing systems (Epic or eClinicalWorks preferred)
- Knowledge of payer portals and revenue cycle tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage high-volume workloads and work independently
- Excellent communication skills with a professional, customer-service mindset
- Highly organized and comfortable working through complex account issues
