About the Role
This is a first-level position for an Insurance Follow-up/Denial Representative. The representative performs all functions necessary to obtain timely reimbursement or resolve denial issues. The position is responsible for meeting productivity and quality audit standards and must operate as a team player within the department while demonstrating and adhering to Baptist Health's beliefs, mission, and values.
Schedule
Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This job is authorized for 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Experience in medical billing and collections or ICD-10 and CPT coding, or exhibits the capability to learn.
- Ability to read and understand billing policies and obtain information from a variety of resources.
- Ability to use a computer and various software and navigate websites to accomplish set goals.
- Work with a positive attitude with patients, families, coworkers, leadership, payors, and other internal and external customers.
