Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney
About the role
Seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney with 3+ years of relevant experience in personal injury, property damage, products liability, construction litigation, toxic torts defense, premises liability, and transportation law.
Responsibilities
- Defend clients in various types of litigation, including personal injury and property damage claims.
- Prepare and file pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery requests and responses.
- Handle court appearances, client meetings, and depositions.
- Communicate effectively with clients and support staff.
- Research and analyze complex legal issues.
Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in MD required.
- 3+ years' experience practicing law preferably in insurance defense.
- Admitted to practice in other jurisdictions such as DC or VA a plus.
- Strong academic credentials and excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated.
- Experience with complex general liability, professional liability, construction litigation, property damage claims, the defense of personal injury claims, and transportation.
- The ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and handle a high volume of cases.
