• Responsibilities:
  • Managing a caseload of complex insurance defense cases from beginning to end.
  • Representing insurance companies and their policyholders in court, presenting evidence and arguing cases in their favor.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis to prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve disputes as efficiently and favorably as possible.
  • Advising clients on their legal rights and obligations, helping them understand the potential implications of different legal strategies.
  • Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure that all cases are handled effectively and efficiently.
  • Staying updated on the latest developments in insurance law and general liability to provide the most accurate and relevant legal advice to clients.
• Qualifications:
  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • A current license to practice law in the state.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Insurance Defense Attorney with a focus on General Liability.
  • Proven experience managing a large caseload and working under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent research, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A high degree of professional ethics and integrity.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in legal research software and other legal technologies.
